Why I’m happy to be an Optimist

I’m often called a Pollyanna (a foreign term for you young folks). Let’s just say I’m “perky”, “cheerful”, always approaching things with an optimistic attitude. Yes, I’m perky on purpose!

If you’re one of those who find this irritating, here’s some food for thought.

Optimism is defined (thanks dictionary.com) as

  1. A disposition or tendency to look on the more favorable side of events or conditions and to expect the most favorable outcome.
  2. the belief that good ultimately predominates over evil in the world
  3. the belief that goodness pervades reality
  4. the doctine that the existing world is the best of all possible worlds.

Sounds like a space I want to inhabit. You?

Here’s a simple lesson in the Law of Attraction: like attracts like.

We are energy beings, magnetically drawing into ourselves all that we experience.  Think and feel yucky, you magScreen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.47.50 PMnitize more yucky into your experience.  Expect goodness, you get more goodness.  There are scientific studies nowadays proving this to be very true. You get more of what you think about, feel, and expect because of the magnetic force that you are.

Things going poorly? Choose to change your outlook and shift your experience now.  You can. You have free will.

Imagine the power we ALL could have if we decided that we can have a real impact on our experience here, in our own lives, on our planet.  Our attitudes have a purpose. Yeah, it gets that big!

You are a powerful magnet. Be careful where you point that thing!
